The ever-popular annual spring concert is a high energy musical revue

The award-winning Lyric Theatre Singers have confirmed their return to the Oscar Peterson Concert Hall for four performances on June 13, 14 and 15. Musical theatre fans are invited to save these dates and be there to witness a cast of over 40 performers take to the stage with this high-energy musical revue. Since 1990, this unique vocal ensemble has entertained audiences in the choral world while at the same time engaging Broadway fans of all ages by drawing from nearly 50 years of Lyric Theatre tradition.

Hallelujah Broadway! is a tribute to cherished classics as well as more recent and beloved songs from the musical theatre stage. “It is a wonderful challenge to find just the right collection of songs to engage and entertain our audiences every year.” says musical director Bob Bachelor “thankfully, there is much to choose from!” Bachelor also mentions the contributions of new assistant musical director Chris Barillaro “Chris is as a wonderful addition to the Lyric Theatre team. He brings a wealth of experience and huge talent to the table. It is a pleasure to collaborate with him”.

Together, Bachelor and Barillaro have conceived an outstanding show of Broadway classic hit songs. From the unforgettable compositions of George Gershwin that inspired the hit show Crazy For You, the hauntingly beautiful melodies of Kismet and Phantom’s triumphant Masquerade, to selections from Anything Goes, Once on this Island, Cabaret, Titanic, Spamalot, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, The Book of Mormon and much more.
