Festival International de Jazz de Montréal presents

Earth, Wind & Fire

THE leading band on the American R&B scene in the ’70s, Earth, Wind & Fire finally lands at the Festival for the very first time! Famed for their polished albums and supremely extravagant concert tours. Lead by percussionist, composer and producer Maurice White, the band built its repertoire on a solid musical foundation including jazz, funk and pop. Their rich discography includes smash albums Open Our Eyes (1974), All ‘N All (1977) and I Am (1979), featuring the disco-flavoured hit Boogie Wonderland—one of their best-known songs, along with Shining Star and Sing a Song. Still grooving today, EWF continues to tour and record—they released the album Now, Then & Forever in 2013. Get ready to dance!
