Montreal’s Festival Mondial de la Bière

The most important festival of international beers in America, the Mondial de la bière is celebrating its 21st anniversary! That is the place where beer lovers, neophytes and connoisseurs, meet to fulfill their quest for flavors. Whether it’s through meeting with the brewers, conferences, classes at the MBeer school of beerology or workshops on beer and food pairings, amateurs will find the required tools to quench their thirst of discoveries.

More than 100,000 festival goers are expected for this unique event which features beers from here and afar. “The Mondial de la bière is a tasting festival based on learning, tasting, sharing and networking with the brewers and the industry’s professionals,” said Jeannine Marois, president and founder of the festival, at the unveiling of the program. “We work throughout the year to forge links with the brewers, because we wish to offer our attendees the best the world has to offer in terms of beer. We have succeeded again this year with more than 500 beers and the introduction of a new country: Thailand.”

– 570 products available (beers, meads, ciders…) including 514 beers
– 107 breweries , including over 40 microbreweries from Quebec
– 269 new breweries – never presented at the Mondial de la bière – representing more than 50% of the beers available!
– 5 day festival when Montreal becomes Beer Central!

Hours: Wednesday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Tasting: $1.00 per coupon, 2 to 6 coupons per tasting (for the majority of beers)
