One of the most admired couple of classical music in the United-States! For more than 35 years, the sincere and communicative joy they display in making music together has earned Jaime Laredo (violin) and Sharon Robinson (cello) numerous admirers, whether as soloists or chamber musicians.

Active on the musical scene for five decades and having performed in more than 30 countries, Jaime Laredo boasts an impressive discography comprising over 100 items. Concerning his playing: “He has everything a virtuoso violinist needs. But he has more than that. He is a violinist of profound musicianship.” (The New Yorker). Sharon Robinson is recognized worldwide as a dynamic artist and one of the most outstanding musicians of our time. The New York Times applauds her “artistic personality that vitalizes everything she plays.”

Acclaimed worldwide as unparalleled chamber musicians, they are members of the renowned Laredo-Robinson-Kalichstein trio which, after 36 years, continues to dazzle audiences and critics alike with its transcendent performances. In the course of their long career, they have collaborated with first-rank musicians such as Leon Fleischer, Itzhak Perlman, Mstislav Rostropovich, Isaac Stern and Yo-Yo Ma.

Artists with a “lyrical playing of unsurpassable elegance” (London Times) with a well-affirmed musical personality, they both garnered major distinctions, such as the Avery Fischer Prize and many Grammy nominations.  Renowned pedagogues, they both currently teach at the Jacobs School of Music from the University of Indiana.
