Montreal International Jazz Festival presents

Gregory Porter

Opening Act: Jaime Woods

An artist whose music is at once timeless yet utterly of its time, Gregory Porter solidifies his standing as his generation’s most soulful jazz singer-songwriter.

A worthy descendant in the lineage of the great American voices of the ’60s and ’70s, Gregory Porter swiftly established himself in the contemporary jazz vocal pantheon. Compared to Nat King Cole and Donny Hathaway, he took home a Grammy Award for his last album, Liquid Spirit (2013), released on the prestigious Blue Note label. After thrilling a Club Soda audience two years back, the artist lands in the Théâtre Maisonneuve to showcase the full measure of his immense talent.
