Orchestre Métropolitain presents

Mendelssohn: The colours of Romanticism

Sensitivity

Mendelssohn’s magnificent Violin Concerto No. 2, performed here by Orchestre Métropolitain’s concertmaster Yukari Cousineau, is one of the most beautiful in the repertoire. Upon returning from a trip to Scotland, the fogs and gothic landscapes of the Highlands inspired the composer to write his Symphony No. 3, an epic work conducted by Kensho Watanabe. Completing the program, the magnificent overture The Fair Melusine is imbued with elegance and grace.
