Satie Variations

With their original instrumental arrangements, Cordâme brings a fresh perspective to the music of Erik Satie, celebrating the composer’s 150th anniversary of birth in 2016. Famous works such as Gymnopédies and Gnossiennes are transformed in this jazzy, one-of-a-kind event.

Original jazzy instrumental arrangements of works by Erik Satie

Erik Satie was an important French composer from the generation of Debussy. Best remembered for several groups of piano pieces, including Trois Gymnopédies (1888), Trois Sarabandes (1887) and Trois Gnossiennes (1890). He was a musical maverick who influenced Ravel.
