Over 300 people attended the sold-out concert on November 17th at L’Entrepôt in Lachine, where Oliver Jones performed one of his last shows before his retirement at the end of the year.

The 82 year-old Jones, accompanied by bass player Eric Lagacé, and drummer Jim Doxas performed a varied selection songs including “When you wish upon a star,” and “Georgia on my mind.” At one point in the show, much to the delight of some audience members, Jones asked for requests and performed three of them, including “Autumn Leaves.”

“We are thrilled with the success of this event and wish to thank those who participated, as well as our sponsors. We feel honoured that one of Oliver Jones’ final career performances was for the benefit of our hospital.” said Jacques Filion, Chairman of the Lachine Hospital Foundation’s board of directors. “It is through community-driven events like these that the Foundation can carry out numerous hospital-wide improvements that benefit patient care.”
