FRANCE-RUSSIA  –  After two remarkable concerts, the cellist Jean-Guihen Queyras is welcome once again by Pro Musica for a recital with his accomplice Alexander Melkinov. The duo’s recent recording of the Beethoven cello sonatas have met with critical acclaim, and, according to the Guardian, “(The) partnership (…) is an ideal match: both are sensitive, responsive chamber musicians, alert to color, never excessive.”
