Distant Light

Reconnecting with its roots and those of its founder and conductor Yuli Turovsky, I Musici performs a programme of Slavonic music for strings alone. The Slavonic soul, it is said, is fundamentally dark and nostalgic, but through the works of three generations of composers, from Romanticism to our day, it becomes obvious how irresistibly intoxicating and brilliant that soul can be.
