From Czars to Soviet Experience

Following their memorable performance in Bourgie Hall in 2014, the Trio Karénine presents a panorama of 50 years of Russian music. Two Romantic works from the final years of the 19th century are matched with two other works composed after the turmoil of the Russian Revolution, which dramatically changed the way music was composed under the new Soviet regime.
