THE PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC

The Orlando Consort performs a live soundtrack to Carl Dreyer’s masterpiece The Passion of Joan of Arc (1928). The renowned English ensemble presents a historically authentic musical reconstruction of medieval France, with music from the period of Joan of Arc’s short life (1412-1431). This unique project also revisits the roots of the Seventh Art, when music was played live at the movies!

“THIS NOW SEEMS THE BENCHMARK SCORE FOR DREYER’S MASTERPIECE.”
