Fundraising Art Sale for West Island  Association for the Intellectually Handicapped. An art exhibit and sales of original paintings by artists Martha Markowsky and Elaine Archambault will be held at the Pierrefonds Cultural Centre, 13850 Gouin Boul.W. Sat. Dorval-Strathmore United Church Sixth Annual Christmas Concert and Food Drive. Enjoy an evening of Christmas favourites and other popular music. Cedar Park United Church Choir directed by Douglas Knight is presenting the cantata, “Holy Night of Miracles” as part of the traditional carol service December 16, at 7:30 pm at Cedar Park United Church, 204 Lakeview, Pointe-Claire. Alice Lighthall (1891-1991): A Beloved Westmounter Ruth Allan Rigby will present a slide presentation on the life of one of Westmount's most prominent residents. Miss Lighthall was appointed to the Order of Canada for her volunteer service and contribution in fostering Indian and Inuit crafts. She was a founder of the Westmount Historical Association and helped save the Hurtubise House the oldest house in the area. Thurs. Dec. 13 at 7pm.in the Westmount Public Library, 4574 Sherbrooke St. West $5:00 at the door. Free for members
