Well, it's been a little while since I
commented, so I guess Peter decided to put me on the spot. I t appears
that he decided I should write about my adventures in "Ebay land".
Now, rather than ask me if I would do it,
he announced to the readers of the Montealer, that I would be doing this
regular reportage on my "learning" experiences.
So as not to make my dear friend Peter
look less than truthful, I find myself now sharing my experiences with
you.
Being an audio guy, I will be giving you
a very personal point of view. That is, you will virtually join me in my
car and as we drive around I will share with you the ins and outs of buying
and selling on ebay.
I you enjoy this series of "audio vignets"
and that you think of them as a fun and educational. Part of the inspiration
for these vignets comes from old radio programs (jack Benny, the Shadow,
the goon show, etc). You know before the first black and white television
was part of the household environment. (Remember Lucy, Nov. 22, 1963, Atrmstrong
on the moon, and then colour TV...)
Yes, I am Bernard Landry, but more affectionately
called by friends and family "Bernie". (Except my mom who will always call
me "Bernard").
As the Web Director of "The Montrealer
Online" web site, I will be interviewing many guests, local celebrities
and a few instigators.
And by adding different content, to the
paper version of the ever growing "The Montrealer", I will be doing audio
interviews and some soon to be announced surprises that you won't want
to miss! This will make the web site a combination "readable-listen to"
experience.
So, if you don't have speakers attached
to your computer, you may want to consider getting set up for this feature.
After all, you won't want to miss all the really interesting programming
we are about to introduce. (Or as my sons would say "cool stuff dad, it's
all good. . .)
